Here is a lovaly picture for those of you non-conformists (who I'm SO jealous of) who only have an LJ and therefore haven't seen this on my Myspace:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This was taken 3 August at the Kotel Ha'Ma'ariv (The Western Wall) in Jerusalem, on Tisha B'Av (the anniversary of the destruction of the Holy Temple by both the Babylonians and the Romans).
Left to right it's: David B. (the only person in this pic besides me who's cool enough to have an LJ), Josh, Hovav, Maxx, David Z., Kirsh, myself, and Gideon.

Could this pic be more awesome? (Well, there's a few lads missing, but y'know, it's a damn good pic.) I give all photo credit to the expertise of a Miss Anya in New York. How I miss her. Shit, how I miss EVERYONE in this pic.

So today was my first day "teaching" at synagogue. Of course, those in power misled me a bazillion times. I thought I was teaching...instead I was substituting. And they're still unsure as to whether or not I'll be an actual teacher or just a madrikh again.

Apparently two of the kids told their parents that I was the best Hebrew school teacher they'd ever had. Which, oh wow, the warm and fuzzies! So, I do have people on my side. I'm so absolutely thrilled.

Also got to see my best friend today, and we had one of our deep talks. A verrrry deep and personal talk. It was needed. I'm so glad that I have people like that in my life.

In other news:
1) I had a wonderful dinner at the house of the rabbi from my town's Chabad on Friday night.
2) Zachy got his lifeguard certification over the weekend, apparently.
3) I just made some AWESOME eggs. I fry them sunny-side up in butter which I sprinkle garlic salt and garlic powder on. And then...WE KICK IT UP A NOTCH....BAM!!!!!!!

Oh, you kids you.

ughhhhhh....gross picture makes me wish i was bullimic just like sixth grade so i could vomit all over my keyboard.

oh, by the way, for definition purposes: i wasn't bullimic in sixth grade. sixth grade, by definition, is bullimic.

Mon, Sep. 18th, 2006 04:49 am (UTC)

Um, D.B., my chum, excuse me whilst I whack you upside yo head.

This picture is basically, um, sexonastick. So. YEAH.

And oh man, 7th and 8th grade were bullimic. Except in 10th grade I was mildly anorexic...but let's not go there.

Aren't eating disorders fun!?!?

So, you know you love this picture in all its glory.
Oh and speaking of which:
Where are those pics of you and I on the mountain in Eilat? I remember they turned out well...?

Mon, Sep. 18th, 2006 04:56 am (UTC)

hm. i'll email them to you when i have time. they are pretty good. oh, about the picture, i meant to say: it looks lovely. but i look like mary wollstonecraft. and not the good, attractive mary wollstonecraft.

Tue, Sep. 19th, 2006 02:05 am (UTC)

Well, it's true, Mary Wollstonecraft was not nearly as attractive as Mary Shelley or Percy Bysshe Shelley, for that matter. But HAH. I laugh at your self-consciousness. Trust me, bro, this is the nicest pic of me from the trip.

IF YOU LIKE. I can send you this dreadful pic of me and L.A. Zach in our bathing suits. We both hadn't done sit-ups, and I'm white as a ghost next to him. It's embarrassing. IF IT WILL MAKE YOU STOP WITH THIS SELF-CONSCIOUS NONSENSE.
